Mastering the Professional Review Interview (PRI)

The Professional Review Interview is the final hurdle for CEng, IEng, and EngTech registration. It is not a technical exam, but a peer-to-peer discussion designed to verify your competence and commitment.

The 45-60 Minute Challenge

Most PRIs last between 45 and 60 minutes. During this time, two trained assessors will probe your Career History Report. They are looking for specific evidence of:

• Personal Responsibility: Use "I" statements, not "We".
• Problem Solving: How you approach novel challenges (UK-SPEC A & B).
• Ethics & Safety: Your commitment to public welfare (UK-SPEC E).
